Oak Glen (Part 2)

We are back from Omaha and had a great time! Pictures from that trip to follow soon :) But first here's the rest of the pictures from our trip to Oak Glen.

So many of the apples were low to the ground which was perfect for these two!

More farm equipment!

Wes loved Daddy's bottle of Bubble Up, he might have even got his first, though very tiny, taste of soda :)

Next up...pear picking!
These have been so delicious. We came back from Omaha and they were perfectly ripe.

Wes actually sharing a bite with me! He's very territorial when it comes to his fruit.

Then we headed over to pick raspberries. The benefit of coming to Oak Glen on a Tuesday is no crowds! There weren't any other people in sight, so we had the raspberries all to ourselves! Which was a good thing, because we paid to pick a quart of raspberries and Wes ate at least a pint right off the bushes! It was amazing how quickly he figured out how to pick the ripe ones.

They really are perfect right off the bush, perfectly warmed by the sun.

Once Wes figured out there were raspberries in the basket too, it was hard to keep it filled!

The spoils of our labor

And here's Wes getting his first bite of that delicious apple pie a la mode. It certainly didn't last long! Apple picking is one of my most favorite fall traditions and this year was certainly one of the best!
