We've been having fun with our advent calendar (though I have to admit that we've been so busy with plans and Cora that we've forgotten a day or two here or there. Wes does a pretty good job of reminding me about the "pockets" though!)
On December 1st, Wes got a little piggy flashlight that oinks when you push a button. I didn't realize how bright the LED lights were and he doesn't quite get the concept of not shining it in people's eyes yet. The pig is also quite loud, so Michael and I are both glad that's the only light up/noise making gift for the advent calendar this year :)

The advent calendar is also helping with number practice, though he likes to point out the color and decoration on the pocket that's holding his gift before he says the number.
These are those dissolving capsules with little sponge shapes inside. Grammy and Auntie MoMo picked these out for Wes, they were all kinds of cars and trucks and airplanes.
He enjoyed stirring the capsules in warm water while relaxing by the fire. Fun night!
