Our annual Carpinteria camping trip this year was July 16th-22nd and we had such a wonderful time with our friends and family enjoying the beach, the company and the food :)
Saturday and Sunday:
This year we rented a trailer, versus the motorhome we had last year, and we really like it! The rental company was great and the trailer was clean and everything worked (unlike a few mishaps we had last year :)
On Sunday all the other families started arriving, so while Uncle Kevin was parking their trailer next to us, Cody and Wes chowed down on some peanut butter and jelly.

And once Tyler and his family arrived, it was all out play time!!
This is what happens when you play in the sand at the back of your camp site, next to the fire pit!
I asked Michael to bring along our ice cream maker and we decided Sunday night should be our first ice cream social. Here's Wes and Cody helping Mike make a batch of strawberry chocolate chip ice cream.
Poppy Lenny coming to get his helping of ice cream!
We made strawberry chocolate chip and low fat banana chocolate chip (which means we used half and half instead of heavy cream :) And Victoria brought over chocolate chip cookies to share. There is nothing better than homemade ice cream in my book, it reminds me of my child hood (I know you're shocked by my sentimentality!), plus it has no preservatives in it so it's good for you!
I wanna come! I miss those days...
ReplyDeleteIt is fun to see you all together though.
