On August 1, 2 and 3rd we headed back to Indio this time with Grandma Susie and Auntie Jessica, and Haley, Gia and Cash. A couple years ago Grandma Susie took us to Rancho Las Palmas in Palm Springs and we thought it would be fun to do a small desert vacation again!
We stopped again at the Farm House restaurant for lunch on our way out.
They have the most amazing Monte Cristo sandwich!
Again, it was really hot and since we wanted to make the most of our first day, we arrived early and spent some time in the water before we could check into our room. But by 4:00 the kids were exhausted and hot and ready to be in some air conditioning! We had a great room overlooking the lazy river.

It seemed like it was almost as hot at night as it was during the day, so we took an evening float around the lazy river too!

We read books, watched some TV, cooked all our meals and had lots of fun together! Five kids (and especially two three year olds!) was a lot of work but we enjoyed getting away together.
