Wes and I bought some fireworks at a stand by our house assuming we'd be home in time on the 4th to shoot them off with our neighbors. But since we had so much fun at the party and got home much later than we expected, we missed all the fireworks on our street! But in Costa Mesa people shoot off fireworks a week prior and a week after the fourth, so we didn't feel bad lighting them up on the 5th.
An American flag sweatshirt, a Bomb Pop and a sparkler...doesn't get more American than that!
We did have a tiny firework accident though, a spark from a sparkler got stuck under the strap of Wes' flip flop and burned a good little hole in the top of his foot! Lesson learned...don't wear flip flops while doing fireworks.
Those little fireworks sure make a lot of noise!
