Wesley's 1st Birthday Party!

We celebrated Wesley's first birthday with a big party and BBQ at Shorebird Park in Irvine (and I do mean BIG!). Shorebird park is right across the street from Mike's mom's house and is the park that Michael played in while he was growing up. It was the perfect spot to celebrate! Such a large party warranted many pictures, so be prepared :)

Grandma Susie works at Northwood High School and some of her ASB students came and built the balloon arch and towers. They were amazing and were so much fun!

Has it really been a year already??

We also had bubble machines that Grandma Susie brought from school that made a million bubbles. The kids loved them!

This is Wesley's cake, banana with cream cheese frosting.

He was a little timid at first.

But after a taste...

...he dove right in!

Inbetween handfulls of frosting, he managed to have a little bite of cake.

We were so blessed by all our friends and family who came to celebrate with us.

I had this table set up with pictures from Wes' first year and his baby book. I also had a picture of Michael and I at our first birthday parties (so many moons ago :). And look at all those gifts, Wes is a very, very lucky boy!

Thanks to everyone who helped make Wesley's party so much fun and go so smoothly. And thanks to everyone who came to wish him a Happy Birthday, it really was "1" great party! We love you lots!!
