Spoiler Alert!

This is a hair bow/clip holder I made for Wes' friend Sylvie who is celebrating her 3rd birthday on Sunday. Sylvie's mom Nadine makes some very beautiful hair bows, so I thought this gift would be a nice way for her to display them all. I, on other hand, cannot make hair bows, which is why in this picture there is one store bought clip attached to the ribbons :) I think it turned out pretty cute, so the chances are good that if you are a female friend of Wes' under the age of 6 or 7 you will be getting one of these for your birthday as well!

Happy Memorial Day!

We hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend! We are so thankful for all the men and women who have served our country, past, present and future. Thank you so much!
Here's the pictures from our bike ride to Huntington with Amber, Jason and Evan.

Packing up the gear and the boys.

We had a yummy breakfast at the Sugar Shack. And after the ride there, I didn't feel one ounce of guilt about the bacon and cheese omlette I ordered!

The boys had fun playing around the fountain. I love this picture because they both are so excited about different things.

Baby feet in flip flops are to die for!

The boys got in a little practice with the shovels, some sand even made it into the buckets!

A pit stop before the ride home.

It was a georgeous day, perfect for a bike ride!

We had such a fun time with our friends, we'll definitely have to do this again!

Memorial Day Sunday

We had a busy day on Sunday celebrating the Memorial Day weekend. We went to church in the morning and then after a nap we headed to Grandma's house for a BBQ lunch and some swimming.
Nothing says BBQ like corn on the cob! Wes loves corn, but this was his first time having it on the cob. He loved sinking those chompers into that sweet corn!

Practicing his kicks with Daddy.

And checking out Grandma's awesome slide! When I was a kid, we spent hours in the pool and on this slide. I know Wes is going to really enjoy it as he grows up too.

Then after Wes' afternoon nap, we headed over to Auntie Chrissy and Uncle Kevin's house for a dinner BBQ.

The burgers were delicious Uncle Kevin!!

Cody has lots of fun toys and Wes always love coming over to play.

After a busy day playing, these boys needed a bath! This will probably be a black mail worthy picture when these guys are teenagers :)

Haulin'

Here we are gearing up for our big Memorial Day weekend plans. On Monday we are planning a bike ride down to Huntington Beach for breakfast with some friends, so we needed a bike trailer. Pictures of the ride will follow, but here's Wes and Daddy assembling our new toy!

"Ok Wes, insert double-winged lugnut washer screw 'A' into rounded square intake valve 'X' and tighten with single pronged air-powered ratchet gun (not included)."

Daddy is an expert assembler, so we were ready for a test run in no time!

It's a pretty comfy ride!

I made it around the complex, but the 8 mile round trip ride on Moday will be the real test!

Uh oh.....

we have a climber!!!!

Cousins

We spent last Thursday with Cash and Haley. Cash and Wes are five months apart and before we know it Cash will catch up to Wes and they'll be wreaking havoc together!

Cash loves playing in the laundry baskets!

And we all went for a nice walk around the Lake.
Wes loves his cousins so much!

An Obligatory Photo

Doesn't every mom have a picture of her kid unraveling a roll of toilet paper??!!

It's amazing how quickly they take advantage of a door accidentally being left open. I'm actually really happy that he stopped at the toilet paper and didn't head straight for the toilet!
