The Path of Least Resistance

Wes just plows straight through anything in his path these days,
because as everyone knows, the shortest distance between two points is a straight line!

Happy 1st Birthday Gianna!

Wes' good friend Gianna recently turned 1 and we had a great time at her birthday party!
How cute are these two?!

Wes' two favorite things: sucking his fingers and pulling hair :)

Gianna had snow at her party! This was Wes' first experience with snow...

he wasn't too sure about it at first...

and here's what he ended up deciding!

We even tried mittens, but still a no go.
Hopefully he'll warm up to it on our trip to Big Bear later this month!

Giving the pinata a whack!

Nick and Jessica helping Gianna blow out her candle.

These cool sunglasses were in Wes' goody bag :)

Here We Go!

Wesley has been learning and developing so quickly recently, I almost can't keep up with him! It's so true that once they start moving, the sky's the limit. Wes has started pulling himself up now too, but it's been hard to catch on camera since he usually topples over after a couple of seconds. With a little help from the dish washer, I finally got it...and even in slippery jammies!

A Trip to the Park

My dad has been in a training class all week, but we finally got outside as a family on Sunday! We went to the park for my first time in a swing!

I think I liked it :)

The slides were just ok though, no major reaction this time :)

But I do know that I love leaves in the grass.
They are just like paper, my most favorite thing to eat!

Auntie Dana!

I finally got to meet my Auntie Dana (my dad's sister)! She lives in Northern California and came to visit last weekend. She checks my blog a lot, so I wanted to get this picture of us up right away!

Good Morning, Rise and Shine!

I love seeing this face every morning and after naptime!
As soon as Wes hears me open the door, he peeks his head over the rail to see me. It's too precious!

And then he gives me a smile so huge, it makes his eyes squint!

What to Make of this Stuff???

I wasn't so sure of grass at first, but then...

I decided it looked pretty fun!
And with a little tug I could put lots of it in my mouth!
